Berdon LLP is taking legal action against the recording artist for multiple absences for court-ordered depositions from November of last year until most recently, a June 19 court date reportedly due to an illness. The accounting firm had apparently spent $100,000 for arranging the June 19 deposition in London just to accommodate the singer's schedule, but she ultimately was a no-show too that day.
The accountants are slamming RiRi for her inexcusable behavior, saying the entertainer showed no signs of illness either before or after the scheduled deposition and was able to perform in her shows around that time and even tweeted about them. Citing they have been "pushed beyond the breaking point," the firm wants the multi-million dollar case dropped and is asking for $100,000 for their wasted time and resources.
Rihanna sued Berdon LLP back in 2012 for allegedly mismanaging her money. The New York-based accounting firm claims the artist's financial loss was the result of her own irresponsibility and that they have not swindled her or owe her anything.
