Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' Tour Would Have Earned More Than $1 Billion

Michael Jackson

If he had lived to perform in his "This Is It" concert tour, the late King of Pop Michael Jackson would have made at least $1.1 billion to as much as $1.5 billion in earnings. This was what Arthur Erk, an accountant familiar with the pop superstar's earning potential, told jurors on Monday, July 15 in his testimony as an expert witness for Jackson's mother Katherine and three children who are suing concert promoter AEG Live for Jackson's wrongful death.

According to Erk, Jackson would have made such a windfall if he had lived long enough to complete his 37-month worldwide tour plus a 10-year Las Vegas show based on his music without him having to perform. The conservative estimates already take into consideration the earnings from endorsements, merchandise, and royalties.

"Michael Jackson was in a class by himself. He was known as the King of Pop. There's no one who comes close to him," said Erk, confident that the iconic entertainer could have easily beaten other artists that time for the year's highest grossing tour. Erk pointed out that should AEG choose to sell the "This Is It" concert tickets at a much higher price, it would all be "still sold out."

So intense was the demand for Michael Jackson that he would earn so much even with his openly extravagant spending taken into the equation. After the initial contract of 50 concerts in London, AEG had thought of following it up with a four-year tour.

PHOTOS: Nigeria’s Representative To BBA, Beverly Being “Fingered” By Angelo #BBA

After having so much to drink, Naija’s representative Beverly and Mr, Dada (Angelo) retired to the room and were pictured on the bed with Angelo fingering Beverly. Beverly was so high that she was all over Angelo, if not for Bassey; something else would have happened.
The most annoying part of the whole bed stuff, Pokello and Elikem were both there watching the whole show.
What do you think about  Beverly now? Some are saying she is a disgrace to the country but how many of us can control ourselves under the influence of alcohol?

Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele's Husband Says The Marriage Was A Mistake

Information at our desk is that the fiery-tale wedding of the highly successful Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele [popularly known as Jenifa] has collapsed!
One of Funke Akindele's people told us that the estranged couples problems started some months back and that it got to its peak few weeks ago when things got worse...

The insider said Funke was actually deceived into the marriage my Mr Oloyede, who didn't revealed all about his (past and present) life to the actress, thus taking advantage of her simple attitude.

Anyway, while Funke Akindele was trying to take it cool and go about their divorce quietly so as to avoid any negative reactions, her estranged husband, Mr Oloyede took to the social media to break the unfortunate news to the public. In his words:

"It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me and ma wife Mrs olufunke akindele, we’ve both agreed to go our separate ways coz of irreconcilable differences. we still best of friends nd we 4ever remain gud friends".
But he later dropped a very negative line:
"Am doing just fine, gettn along without u, don't need u anymore in ma life. u d greatest mistake av made in recent time."
Funke Akindele has finally changed her name on BB from "Mrs Funke Akindele Oloyede" to "Everybody loves Jenifa".
What could have gone wrong just after one year of marriage?

Deeper Life Church Wedding Saga and Matters Arising

Many commentaries have been published in print and on-line media following the wedding of the second son of Pastor W. F. Kumuyi and its immediate aftermath. The propriety and the doctrinal basis of the response from the church have been questioned and generally condemned and vilified.

Most commentators including notable church leaders apparently seem to agree on one point, that the couple was punished for violating Deeper Life tradition or doctrine, but not bible and kingdom doctrines...
The general opinion, in some cases, expressed, using very strong language, was that using makeup and wearing earrings or the particular wedding gown worn by the bride are wholly supported by the holy scriptures and should not in any righteous way incur the church’s displeasure, opprobrium and sanction. Some commentators went as far as tagging the church puritanical and outmoded and in addition accused her of portraying a damaging picture of Christianity.

Before we crucify the church, I think it is appropriate that we examine the scriptures like good Bereans and determine whether the church is on the right track or not. In the Bible, it is written “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array: but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works (1 Timothy 2: 9 – 10).” In other words, it is unbecoming of a woman professing godliness, that is, a woman who claims to be a Christian to put on gold, pearls or costly clothes. Wearing jewelry is the lifestyle of women generally, but this should not be the case with those who desire to please God and are interested in going to heaven.

Even under the Old Testament dispensation, it was never the perfect will of God that His people should decorate themselves with precious metals or other ornaments. When Jacob and his family were going to Bethel to worship as directed by God, they discarded and buried those things that were offensive to God like their idols and earrings (Genesis 35: 1 – 4). After the children of Israel made and worshipped the golden calf at Sinai, God commanded them to remove their jewelry: The scriptures noted, “So after they left Mount Sinai, the people of Israel no longer wore jewelry (Exodus 33: 6, Good News Bible, Todays English Version); therefore the people of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments, from Mount Horeb onward (Exodus 33: 6, Revised Standard Version).”
More than a century later, during the time of Gideon, the Bible thought it necessary to explain that the golden earrings found with the children of Israel were spoils of war taken from Ishmaelites (Judges 8: 24). With these ornaments Gideon made an ephod, and the children of Israel worshipped it. Regrettably, the sin at Sinai pertaining to the making and worshipping the golden calf was again repeated. This confirms the sad truth that human beings will either idolize ornaments or mould idols with them. Decking oneself with jewelry is usually the product of haughtiness, pride, seduction or immoral inclination (Isaiah 3: 16 – 26). God is against the use of jewelry, because any one using jewelry is joining affinity with spiritual Ishmael and Babylon.
In the book of Revelation, two women were used as symbols, the first related to spiritual Israel (a woman clothed with the sun) and the second, spiritual Babylon (a woman decked with jewelry – the kingdom of Satan). Concerning Spiritual Israel, the bible said “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. . . . she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne (Revelation 12: 1 – 5).”
But concerning spiritual Babylon (kingdom of Satan), the Bible stated: “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornications: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Revelation 17: 3 – 5).” Observe that the first woman did not wear jewelry, but was clothed with the sun. God clothes Himself with light (Psalm 104: 2), which was the way He clothed Adam and Eve before the fall. When Moses came down from God’s presence at Mount Sinai, his face was shinning as light.
This is the beauty that God admires. It is not the beauty that results from using makeup and jewelry, the beauty that is carnal. It is the beauty of holiness (Psalm 110: 3). The second woman was decked with jewelry, and was called Babylon, the mother of harlots. It’s interesting to note that harlots always seek ways to enhance physical beauty, allurement and seduction. What God admires in a woman is holiness characterized by a meek and quiet spirit, not jewelry or makeup (1 Peter 3: 3, 4) and a Christian ought to have the mind of God (1 Corinthians 2: 16). It’s noteworthy that the only people the Bible described as using makeup were the murderous and adulterous Jezebel and backslidden Israel called a harlot (2 Kings 9: 30, Jeremiah 4: 30 and Ezekiel 23: 40).

The hallmarks of true religion are humility, simplicity, sobriety, modesty, self-denial and self-crucifixion. That was the lifestyle of Christ and the early disciples. Flamboyance, jamboree, jesting and wantonness reveal a lifestyle destitute of the Spirit of Christ. What we call church wedding and reception these days are programs characterized by the display of flamboyance, hypocrisy and pride. I suppose that the white gown and the veil are symbols for the virginity and spotlessness of the bride. Is it not an insult to the holiness of God and the desecration of the altar to wed a woman in white when she is no longer a virgin? Even if she is still a virgin, must she tell the world through the gown she is wearing? The groom wears a suit and continues to wear it after the wedding.
However, the bride spends a lot of money on the gown and cannot wear it again. What is the moral or economic justification for that? Is it not to satisfy the iniquitous desire to be like the world? Can she not wear a gown she can wear publicly after the wedding? Did God not warn His Children not to follow the world in its madness and folly (John 2: 15 – 17)? In receptions, the kind of dancing one sees makes one to shudder. The ladies sway, roll and rock their bottoms in seductive ways and yet call it worshipping God. Tufia. Self, not God is glorified the way food is served and people are invited to the high table and money is sprayed. The Holy Angels must be shedding tears.

When I read what some of these “ministers of the gospel” wrote I was highly disturbed. It made me to wonder where they were coming from. The steps taken by Deeper Life are wholly scriptural and the underpinning doctrine is bible-based. We ought to thank God for Pastor W. F. Kumuyi. Deeper Life has changed the religious terrain in Nigeria and by the Grace of God has been directly and indirectly a major force in restoring holiness to the body of Christ. No wonder Satan is fighting him so severely. I would just want to encourage him to persevere. Men of right spiritual understanding appreciate his work.

True Life Story Written By A College Girl Before Her Demise - A Must Read

After going through this young lady's story, i cant help but feel very bad about her sudden d*ath, this is a very sad story and i urge you to read and learn something from it.

I used to be that innocent girl who had the world at her feet.

I was beautiful and I had eyes and hips that could make men sway, and to top it all up, I was a Christian, a very good Christian with a heart burning for God.

When I entered the university, I met a guy, his name was Derrick, i couldn't believe my luck the first time I bumped into him on my way to class, he had such a kind smile and a tender look that weakened my knees when he spoke.

Because I was late for class we couldn't talk much but barely three weeks later, I met him at the fresher’s night party and I was overwhelmed.

We got talking and I found out that he was in his second year and from that night, we became an inseparable pair.

At first, we were friends and as months passed by, we got closer and closer and the chemistry between us was undeniable.

About a year after I entered the university, Derrick and I started dating. He was everything a girl could ever want and desire save the fact that he wasn't so much of a Christian.

Derrick had magical hands that made him hard to resist and most times I fell for it.

At first, I felt bad but when I couldn't help falling into the same pit I killed the guilt on my inside.

And then one day, one of my friends said I was getting fatter and that got me thinking and in the process I began to link the dots.

First I had a vomiting spree every morning which I thought was due to a flu and then I had this morning sickness which I felt was due to stress and then my missing period, oh no it can’t be possible I said to myself, I couldn't be pregnant!!! After a series of test outside school, I realized the deadliest truth, I was indeed pregnant.

I was only nineteen, I still had a whole life ahead of me, what was I going to do.

I couldn't tell my parents, they wouldn't hear of it.

I had to go to Derrick to tell him what I had found out.

On telling him, I saw him fly into a temper I had never seen in my life.

He was so hysterical, calling me all sorts of names and I didn't even know when I started crying heart drenching tears of hurt and betrayal.

When helooked into my eyes he must have realized how scared and hurt I was and so he pulled me close and ran his hands through my hair until I had calmed down and then he said to me in the most subtle voice ever ”why don’tyou have an abortion”.

I pulled back instantly, I couldn't have an abortion! But when he talked about my parents and the sanctioning of the school and the fellowship which I belonged to, I knew I had no other choice.

Derrick made all the arrangements and soon the supposed day we went to the clinic.

I shivered all through my way there but Derrick kept telling me that it would be okay and that he was proud that I made such a brave decision.

When I entered into the room where the abortion was supposed to take place I laid down on the table trying to dissociate my mind from what I was about to do and then a young man told me sternly,”you know I can’t perform this procedure with your underwear on” and then I began to pull it off.

As I did this a sense of guilt overwhelmed me, first I had pulled off my 'undess' of pleasure and now I was pulling it off to get rid of the stigma the pleasure had brought, what a shame, I felt so exposed.

All through the times that I felt instruments coming in and out of me, I kept thinking of the lady I was and the hypocrite I had transformed into.

I let out a sigh, only if I can get through this I muttered, only if,  and then I felt a sharp pain pierce through the whole of my body, I screamed but then the doctor told me to be quiet.

I felt another pain but this time I bit my lip and then the pain began to come in successions.

I instinctively knew that something was wrong but I was too weak to talk or to move and then I heard the voices of Derrick and the doctor talking about the fact that I was bleeding excessively.

The pain was so unbearable and I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker.

With the last strength in me, I pleaded with God”Oh Lord I’m so sorry for taking my under wears off, please forgive me.” and I drifted into a world where the pain seemed less hurtful and the voices seemed more distant.

Friends, our bodies are the temples of the Lord. Do not take off your Underwear when the time is not right.

Lots of girls who gained admission into the university as virgins eventually lost it so cheaply to guys who have nothing to do with their destinies, In a bid to get a certificate, they sold out a destiny that certificates cannot guarantee, the Lady died during the abortion.

What Aspiring Nigerian Footballers And Students Go Through In Europe

When Jinaid Nigeria for Tajikistan last year, he thought he was traveling to Central Asia to pursue a career in professional soccer.

But the 21-year-old’s adventure didn’t turn out quite as planned.

After spending hundreds of dollars to fulfill his dream, Jinaid is now stranded in Dushanbe with no job and no money.

“Now, I’m struggling without doing anything,” Jinaid said.

“I’m hungry, my visa has expired, no job to do.” Jinaid is among a group of at least 10 Nigerians who have traveled to Tajikistan in the past three years, seeking to join soccer clubs and make a decent living.

Some of them did play for Tajik teams, but they complain that what they got fell far short of expectations. Alleged Afghan middleman They have sued an Afghan national living in Dushanbe for allegedly acting as a middleman and luring them to the country on false pretenses.

The alleged middleman, Hamidullah Abdulmannon, has been charged on suspicion of scamming the would-be footballers. He is also accused of promising other young Nigerians places at Tajik universities.

Afghan national Hamidullah Abdulmannon says the Nigerians are ganging up against him, with no basis for the allegation that he was an unethical broker. Jinaid says he traveled to Tajikistan along with three other Nigerian players.

“(Abdulmannon told) my coach in Nigeria that there is a football team here which is looking for good players, so our coach got in touch with us (and told) us that he had an offer for us: to come down to Tajikistan,” Jinaid says. “We paid money to my coach.

I paid $700.” But in Tajikistan, Abdulmannon is alleged to have forced Jinaid to pay another $1,500 for what he called “university fees,” telling the player he would be deported if he didn’t pay.

Yvonne Nelson Is Messing With Me - John Dumelo

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson and John Dumelo seem to have a connection not many would understand.

In a recent interview Yvonne Nelson admitted her last kiss was with John Dumelo.

"It's been seven months. I'm like a secondary virgin right now, yeah! I haven't seen anyone, done nothing! I haven't even kissed. Oh yeah, I kissed John Dumelo in a movie. That's like my last kiss," Yvonne said.

Yvonne has denied been in a secret relationship with John saying "John is like my brother. He's a Fante guy. John has a girlfriend. John has a girlfriend....in London I guess. He's going to kill me”

Well John has come out to say his own part saying Yvonne Nelson was just playing with the public minds.

So nothing came out of that interview please, you need to stop saying that.“
