MAJEK FASHEK TURNS BORN AGAIN -Gives Life To Christ At CMCM

Praise Jah! The Rainmaker, Majek Fashek, is now a new creature. The iconic musician who has been battling alcohol and drug addictions for sometime has finally given his life to Christ. The troubled entertainer from whose fecund imagination emanated hit songs like Send Down The Rain, Holy Spirit, I&I Experience and so on publicly embraced Christ on Sunday, June 23, 2013. This was at the Christ Miracle Church Mission, situated at Iyasuna Crescent, off Ishola Bello Street, Ojodu, Lagos.
The church is being led by Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi, JP. The Edo born musician had attended the church’s 7 Sundays of Anointing for Breakthrough Service for the first time, and got converted. Members of the church were thrown into joy afterwards. In fact, nearly all of them rejoiced with him. Especially when Majek was handed the microphone to do a song.
The song he chose to sing for the congregation was one of his classics, Holy Spirit. And as he did tears of joy streamed down some of the members’ faces!
YES International! could however not ascertain whether or not the Reggae music king in Nigeria has been regular in church since then. Or even whether some ministers from CMCM have been following up on him lest he backslides again. Majek Fashek, obviously in his 50s, about two decades ago, dominated the Nigerian music scene. A total musician, he could sing, play the guitar and also the keyboard.
Starting out as a member of the Jahstix band, his debut album, Prisoner of Conscience, catapulted his career and life to the zenith. Then, he was still with the defunct Tabansi Records and had Architect Aig Igiehon as his manager. He crossed over to Sony Music – and while there recorded albums like I & I Experience – featuring popular numbers like Mama Dede, Majek Fashek Inna New York and so on.
His wife, Rita and one of his sons, Randy are believed to still reside in America from where his addiction problem is believed to have begun. Now living from hand to mouth, Majek has been a shadow of his old self since his return.

Even when I visited him in London, I warned him about white ladies. I told him that even if he’s having a relationship with a white lady, it should stop at that; he should not allow such relationship to end up in marriage. I told him whenever he wants to settle down in marriage, he should come down to Nigeria and pick a wife. If he’s thinking towards the direction of getting married to a white lady, we are not in support of that. My parents are not in support of him getting married to a white. If he’s in a relationship, that’s just a relationship.

GEJ Says Yobe Student-Killers Will Go To Hell(Viewer’s Discretion)

President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned the massacre more than 40 persons at a secondary school in Yobe, telling the killers that they would go to hell.
Jonathan, who spoke through the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said that his administration will not be undermined by any group or persons.
According to him, any person who target innocent children as a result of emotional dyfunction will certainly burn in hell.
He sympathized with the affected families as he assured that the war against terror is still very much on course.
Jonathan was optimistic that his administration will see the end of terror in the country.
Describing terrorists as cowards, he said: “the killing is barbaric, completely wicked. Anybody who will target innocent children for any kind of grief of emotional dyfunction will certainly go to hell.”
The attackers, who stormed the boarding school about 3 a.m. on Saturday, were said to have set fire on the hostels which burned the victims alive as they were asleep.
The students that managed to escape from the fire were reportedly shot by the attackers.
Some of the injured students in critical conditions are being treated in hospitals in the state for varying degrees of burns.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose Officially Married

The private ceremony held in a courthouse will be followed with a bigger wedding party this fall.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are officially husband and wife. The rapper whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz got married to his baby mama in a private ceremony in front of judge Monday, July 8, a week after obtaining their marriage license in an L.A. courthouse. A bigger wedding will follow later.

"Yay me & my Baby are officially married!!!" Amber tweeted. "Happily ever after." She added, "Cam just sang 'Cupid' to me & made me cry for the 30th time today.... Its the best day ever with my Family, Husband & baby boy." Her husband added on his own Twitter page, "Weddings this fall. Thought I'd let yall know."

Khalifa, 25, and Rose, 29, got engaged back in March 2012 after a year of dating. Their son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz was born February this year. Rose previously dated Kanye West who also just welcomed a baby of his own with girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

There is no word on the exact date for their wedding celebration, but Khalifa once said they would have a wedding after his baby mama shed her post-baby fat. "She wants to look perfect in her dress. She doesn't want her dress to fit her 'after baby' body. She wants it to fit her regular body," he explained.

Michael Jackson's Ex-Doctor Details His Painkiller Addiction

A former tour doctor testifies in the King of Pop's wrongful death trial, says the singer was a drug addict.

In the ongoing saga that is the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial, a new testimony via a video deposition played for the jurors on Monday, July 8, from a doctor who trekked with the King of Pop's 1993 "Dangerous" tour. Dr. Stuart Finklestein recounted the incidents that led him to believe that Jackson had an addiction to pain medication back then.

His first suspicion came when Jackson called him into his hotel suite and asked him to administer painkillers for a severe headache he was having, which he ended up addressing with an intravenous morphine drip within 24-hours prior to Jackson's Bangkok, Thailand concert. He was supposed to just give him a shot of Demerol on the buttocks but they were already "so scarred up and abscessed that the needle almost bent."

Dr. Finklestein detailed how Jackson was wearing another opiate Duragesic patch and how a longtime make-up artist and hairstylist gave him two ampules of Demerol. He said he told the concert promoters his thoughts on Jackson's addiction but these were just dismissed, even by friend, AEG executive Paul Gongaware.

Gongaware responded to him by saying, "Don't be a Dr. Nick," in reference to the physician who supplied the late Elvis Presley with prescription drugs leading to the King of Rock & Roll's death. Gongaware just warned him "don't get all infatuated where you start administering drugs to a rock star and having him die on you."

Elton John Postpones Summer Concert to Undergo Surgery

The 'Rocket Man' hitmaker has been diagnosed with appendicitis and is expected to go under the knife soon.

Elton John is not feeling well and has to take a hiatus from performing. After "a number of exploratory scans and blood tests with his medical team in the UK," the British singer/songwriter was diagnosed with "appendix abscess surrounding retrocaecal appendicitis."

Sir Elton is forced to hold back the remaining dates from his current European tour, including the headline show at Hyde Park in London as part of the Barclaycard British Summer Time Festival this coming Friday, to go under the knife and recover after the surgery.

"Elton is incredibly disappointed to postpone these tour dates. To know that he made such super-human efforts and continued to perform to thousands through his illness only confirms his dedication to his European fans. He is eager to be back on top form and return to play the remaining shows starting in early September 2013," his rep says.

He is currently undergoing "a course of intensive antibiotics" to reduce "toxins within the inflamed appendicitis site," before undergoing the surgery.
