5. You feel exhausted like you’ve been on three back-to-back job interviews before the waiter even tops off your iced tea.
6. He looks at the street lights, the Dunkin Donuts sign, the homeless man peeing on the sidewalk, anywhere but at you. Consistently and purposely.
7. You find yourself wondering what your couch and sweatpants are doing.
8. He bulldozes ahead through every entrance and lets each door slam on you.
9. You get into an argument. It is not playful banter. It is indeed an argument.
10. You make eye contact with another woman and send her a telepathic message for help, but she is like “duuh!”
11. He asks you how you feel about abortion and the death penalty and then proceeds to pummel you with little condescending jabs until you lie about wanting to get back to the very job you despise.
12. He asks you about your favorite football team, and when you mention that you’re not a fan of his, he decides you’re no longer worth his time and leaves you hanging.
13. Every two sentences are swallowed up by a five-minute chasm of awkward, cough-and-stifled-misery-filled silence.
14. Your best friend texts you with news that he just updated his Facebook status to grump about being on the date from the seventh ring of hell.
15. He offers up an exit strategy before you even get a chance to get your coat off. You’ve never even heard of hamster sitting.
16. He goo-goo eyes other chicks, including your waitress, and doesn’t even attempt to downplay it.

1. Protect yourself from the sun
One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems — as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.
For the most complete sun protection:
Use sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. When you’re outdoors, reapply sunscreen every two hours — or more often if you’re swimming or perspiring.
Seek shade. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest.
Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also consider laundry additives, which give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection for a certain number of washings, or special sun-protective clothing — which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays.
2. Don’t smoke
Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — can contribute to wrinkles.
If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit. Ask your doctor for tips or treatments to help you stop smoking.
3. Treat your skin gently
Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin. To keep it gentle:
Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water.
Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.
Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.
Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.
Moisturize dry skin. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. For daily use, consider a moisturizer that contains SPF.
4. Eat a healthy diet
A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn’t clear — but some research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.
5. Manage stress
Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.

First Date Sex
There are no rules as to when a person should or should not have sex. If you’re feeling frisky after a few drinks on the first date or even want to have a one-night-stand, that’s your business. But for some, sex on the first date can make you feel used, dirty or bad about yourself the next day. When it comes to deciding on having sex on the first night, let your instincts be your guide and be safe about it. Just be sure you’re comfortable with your decision, whatever it is.

Break-Up Sex
You may be saying to each other, “Let’s just do it once for old time’s sake,” but that could just make the break up worse than it already is. Most people who want to have break-up sex are still trying to hold on in some way, which can only make the break-up linger longer than it should. Either decide to break up, break ties completely and move on, or stop playing around and decide if breaking up is really what you want to do. If not, then work it out. Peer Pressure Sex
If you had sex because your friends are doing it or because you were being teased for being a 22-year-old virgin, then you probably didn’t enjoy it. Sex usually isn’t the greatest the first time anyway, so it’s best to wait until you are ready to do ‘the do’ for the first time. Also, if a man says he’s not waiting anymore because it’s been three months and you still haven’t given him the cookies, don’t give in. If he’s not willing to wait, he’s undeserving of your love and sex anyway.

Rebound Sex
You may think that having sex with the next guy you meet after a bad break-up will make you feel better; but chances are it won’t. Now, if it’s been months since you ended a relationship and are in a rut, then getting busy with someone new can bring about a sense of renewed confidence by feeling desired by another man. Sex can be a stress reliever too, so having sex with the next best thing may have its benefits at first to loosen you up. But if you’re looking to the rebound guy to fill a void before you’ve healed from a previous relationship, rebound sex may only make you feel worse.

Drunken Sex
Some people like having sex while they’re inebriated because the alcohol helps them to lose their inhibitions and be freaky all night long. I can see how that might work. But drinking too much has also caused many men and women to make bad judgment calls when choosing who to sleep with, where, and even engaging in risky behavior – like not using condoms. Some say that alcohol also dampens sensation, decreases their ability to climax and some men say that they have a hard time getting it up when they’re drunk. If you plan on having sex, have just one or two drinks. If you don’t plan on having sex, don’t get so drunk that you wind up doing something you’ll regret.
Pity Sex
This is the worst kind of sex you can ever have. Having sex because you feel sorry for someone is just lame. Even if they don’t know it’s pity sex, it will only make you just as pathetic as the person is. You may be making him feel better but what about you? If that person can’t get sex on his own, it’s probably for a reason. Don’t be the cornball who gives in to someone else’s shortcomings.
Obligatory Sex
Obligatory sex usually happens when one partner doesn’t feel like doing it, or may no longer enjoy it, but feels he or she needs to do it anyway – not out of pity, but out of duty. He wants sex morning, noon and night and tells you it’s your “job” to make sure all his needs are met…or someone else will.  If that’s the case, you should tell him to kick the rocks. This kind of sex can lead to feelings of resentment and eventually, you’ll reach your boiling point and blow up. If you don’t feel like it, don’t do it, especially if it’s to the point where it feels like a chore. Explain to him how you feel and ask him to be respectful of your feelings. If he can’t understand that, then too bad. Regular sex is important to a relationship, but if you’re tired, sick or just need a break, tell him to buzz off until you feel up to it.

That is Naeto C, that Nigerian rapper who prides himself as the only Nigerian musician with a Master’s degree. Good for him there. But this son of diplomat mother, Mrs. Kema Chikwe is not yet done with the classrooms as he has reportedly gone back to school at the prestigious Oxford University in London, taking a course in Energy Economics. But my issue here is whether he has decided to dump music finally? Only time will tell.

7 Healthy Tips for Beautiful Skin


Like the crazed scientist’s quest for the fabled philosopher’s stone, the quest for beautiful skin is a never-ending journey for which many a lady would give a sizeable chunk of their worldly possessions to attain.
With the toning/bleaching syndrome rapidly catching on among the ladies, the quest for beautiful skin has never been more vicious or competitive – lightening creams and soaps abound with promises of overnight transformation and younger-looking, glowing skin. But what shall it profit a lady to have ‘white’, translucent skin but still have dark, gnarled knuckles? The road to great skin goes beyond having the right cosmetic products, rather its a wholesome process which involves amongst other things observing the right skin health practises, a healthy diet and yes, having the right skin care products.
So have you been been devoting energy and resources to finding the perfect skin beauty products? Perhaps its time to change directions and look into nourishing the skin as opposed to merely polishing it because in the end, healthy skin equals beautiful skin and beautiful skin equals a more confident and sexy woman.

1. Never, ever sleep with makeup on: You may or may not have heard this before but sleeping with makeup is the biggest no-no in the quest for healthy skin because it can have very damaging effects. Essentially, there’s an oil build up overnight which leads to clogged pores and it goes downhill from there – pimples, darkened skin and after a period of time, wrinkles, dull skin. So, save yourself the trouble and endeavour to always wash off your face before sleeping at night.
2. Water is the skin’s best friend: Drink loads of it, splash it on your face, just get all round comfortable with it. Water is a great hydrant which cleans the system and also tightens the pores. Drink several tall glasses a day not just for great skin but also for better bowel movement which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. Also when washing off make-up, splash cold water on your face to tighten the pores. Wash with warm water and again rinse off with cold water. Warm water opens up the pores which allows for the germs to be thoroughly washed off while the cold water at the end tightens the pores so that they’re sealed from contamination and further exposure to germs.
3. The sun is NOT the skin’s best friend: Constant exposure to the sun not only darkens the skin but also reduces the skin’s elasticity which over time becomes damaging for the skin. Need we say more?
4. In case of blemishes and long term infections: To get rid of deep blemishes and long term infections, simply dilute apple cider vinegar in water and apply to affected areas for a soothing, healing effect. Natural, hydroquinone free and without any side effects.
5. Natural exfoliating: Dilute a few drops of lavender oil in hot water and cover your head over it for a refreshing, home spa session. The steam opens up the pores cleaning out impurities while also serving as an antiseptic.
6. For brighter skin:  To lighten dark spots, squeeze some lemon juice over the area. Also apply organic yoghurt all over the face for clearer, brighter complexion.
7.  Eat your way to great skin: As we’ve said earlier, the road to great skin starts from within as such food items like salmon, garlic, sweet potato, egg yolk and avocado are great for the skin. Salmon is rich in protein, potassium and Vitamin B-6, garlic reacts with the blood to fight bacteria, sweet potato is rich in potassium, sodium and Vitamin A while avocado pear is rich in Vitamin E and C as well as collagen all of which are great nutrients for the skin.
