Fresh Details: Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Reportedly Has 6 Weeks To Reconcile With His Wife

According to reports reaching me, some fresh details have emerged on the controversial divorce between Pastor Oyakhilome and his wife, Anita.

There are indications that reconciliation moves are on course between the President of Christ Embassy, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome and his wife Rev. Anita who have been in the news in the past week over the divorce proceedings the latter filed.

The decree nissi, with suit number FD14D01650, was filed on 9th April 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn in London by Anita’s lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors.

City People Magazine reports that, to have a divorce in the UK, both parties must have a marriage that is legally recognised in the UK, and have a permanent home in England or Wales. Getting a decree nissi, there are 5 grounds: adultery; unreasonable behaviour; desertion; 2 years’ separation; and 5 years’ separation. In the case of Rev. Chris, adultery wasn’t cited but the decree nissi was reportedly served to him during a recent visit to the UK.

According to the Family Law in UK, decree nissi is a document that says that the court doesn’t see any reason why you can’t divorce. This is usually applied for if one’s husband or wife doesn’t defend a divorce petition.

After 6 weeks, the applicant can apply for a ‘decree absolute’ to end the marriage. The decree absolute is the legal document that ends a marriage, and the applicant needs to wait at least 6 weeks after the date of the decree nisi before applying for a decree absolute. This delay gives a chance to discuss finances and other issues (between the couple) before the marriage comes to an end.

Lara George Revealed why she Went Solo as a Gospel Artiste

We will all agree that Lara George has become one of the most successful artistes the Nigeria’s gospel circle since the release of her first hit song ‘Ijoba Orun’ in 2007.

George was a member of the now defunct music group, KUSH, which had popular songs like ‘let’s stay together’, before they parted ways.

In a recent interview, the ‘Dansaki’ singer revealed that she went solo as a gospel artiste due to limited funds which made it quite difficult for the group to function.

She said “I was a bit upset about the KUSH break-up. I felt like I had put my whole life on hold just to accommodate KUSH but it ended that way, this made me decided never to do music again. Of course, as you know, that decision did not exactly last long”.

“Music at the time when KUSH started was a very difficult thing to do particularly for three young professionals with so many career options. It was tough keeping things together at that time because the pressure the financial uncertainty brought took its toll on us as a group and everyone started to drift apart until we were no longer able to keep things going”.

I got into the car and was so tired to Drive to one of my friends Drove, on our way back I saw a friend I haven’t seen in a while at another club trying to park I stopped to say hi and we entered the second club after a few minutes I decided to leave, right outside the club is a shawarma spot I got some and then I and my friends were headed Home and I was trying to eat my sharwama while my friend drove us home. That’s the Last I could remember.
I found myself covered with Airbags and I came out of that car that tumbled and a good Samaritan took us to the Hospital.

Fans mad as Davido’s $40 New York show flops

Controversy and Davido seem inseparable. The artiste, who is currently in New York as part of a US tour, has been accused by his many fans of cheating them right there in the Big Apple.

The pop artiste’s first official US tour seems to have started on a bad note. Davido held a live concert in New York last night but hours later, a huge number of his fans took to social media to berate the Pop singer for his ‘bad behaviour’.

According to concert goers, the headline artiste (Davido) was billed to hit the stage at about midnight but did not do so until 3AM. Fans had gotten irritated at this point, knowing that the show was to end in an hour. Davido is also said to not have performed his hit song ‘Skelewu’.

Fans who paid for regular tickets were charged $40 while VIP tickets sold for $75. The show (and US concert) was put together by Big A Entertainment.

Knowing fully well what had happened, Davido tried to correct the ‘mishap’ by tendering an apology on Twitter but it seemed too late as fans responded, blasting him.

‘Damn My NY was too packed police shut it down!! The love and support that came out was overwhelming!!! I will be back!’ @iam_Davido: ‘Feel so bad!!!!!!! Not my fault but I take the blame!!! I’m sorry!! Luv u guys 4real!! NYC!!!!!!Really sad!‘, Davido wrote.

Efforts to reach Davido have remained futile as his manager had not responded to our emails as at the time of filing this report. Big A Entertainment had also not responded to our inquiries.
