Notting Hill Carnival London 2013: All Colour, All Fun, All Things Bright & Beautiful (Photos From The Nigerian Corner)
We Nigerians are a lovely bunch. We are in tune with our natural desires, never passing up an opportunity to connect with finer things in life. And so we saw at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival in London. Once again the Nigerian corner ruled the event, as it was a jamboree of colours and explosive performances.
Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka kept the mood jolly, and the celebrities such as Teju Babyface, Dr. Sid, Dayo d1 adeneye, Sunday Are, Naeto C, Ayo Shonaiya, Alariwo of Africa and OK Nigeria Owner, Alexander Amosu were on hand to taste of the pervading verve.
Acrobatic dancing, and intricate gyrating routines made for thrilling spectacle, with D3 Dancers leading the band of revelers. Dizzy was a class act, and so was Honey B, Daughter of Fuji music crooner, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal KWAM 1. Honey B’s electrifying performance will go down in history as the best from a female act.
Next up were Moelogo who graced the stage with sensational singing and banging beats. Tillaman cut in with a performance, Tipsy, Lace and Nikki Laoye raced us all to finish line.
With a crowd held spellbound all day long, with a lethal combo of good food, better wine, and the best music, the Nigerian Corner made for the hottest of stops. See you all next year.
If for any reason, you contrived to miss the event, citing reasons best known to you, you did yourself a great disservice. But not to worry, we got you pictures. Say thank you!
