Timaya, who was part of the star acts in the industrial town for the sixth-leg of Star Music Trek, was riled that he was rushed off a question one time too many by JJ and made his feelings known right on air.
It nearly turned an embarrassing moment on 13 July when Dancehall music star, Timaya, blasted on-air personality, JJ of Blaze FM, Nnewi, Anambra State, for cutting him off during a live radio chat.
Timaya, who was part of the star acts in the industrial town for the sixth-leg of Star Music Trek, was riled that he was rushed off a question one time too many by JJ and made his feelings known right on air.
“Why do you journalists (OAPs) always cut people off? You ask one question and won’t allow people to ‘land’ before asking another,” he snapped at the show host.
The well-composed broadcaster just took it in his stride and graciously allowed the artiste to have the ‘mic’, leading to 15 minutes of hilarious moment as the self-styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa took his fans on a quick rundown of Star Music Trek’s 10-City concert.
Inspired by the tumultuous crowd at the Beverly Hills Resort venue of the concert later in the evening, Timaya joined other multi-talented acts including M.I, Kcee, JMartins, Kas and Crystals, the 2012 Star Quest winners, to put up a five-star show that will linger in the minds of the town music lovers for a long time to come.
Timaya’s act, reminiscent of his barefoot performances during the fifth leg of the concert in Aba, once again chose to do away with his shoes to thrill fans to a 45-minute performance that kept fans dancing in the rain even after he left the stage
