Govt. Officials Withdraw Support For OJB’s Surgery

Legendary producer OJB Jezreel may have seen hopes of raising the $100,000 needed to carry out a kidney transplant for him after he was diagnosed with kidney failure, dealt a big blow as government officials who had earlier made financial pledges have withdrawn all support.
Announcing via microblogging site twitter, Nomoreloss who heads the fund raising committee said that the officials withdrew following misinformation on the exact amount already raised for the producer’s treatment.

Stories had emerged on blogs and social networks that D’banj, Wizkid, Tuface had all donated 7m, 3m and 1.5 million naira respectively. Further stories said P Saquare donated N5m and Iyanya, N1m. Nomoreloss calls some of the stories false, and has even asked D’banj to clear the air on the matter.
