For Ladies – 10 Things You Should Never Say To Your Man!!!

imagesFIGHT
To keep your relationship healthy and happy, it is advisable to stay away from the following words.
1. “Man up.” This phrase is never, ever appropriate. He is a man. If he’s not meeting your expectations, learn to communicate this clearly and without insult.
2. “We need to talk.” Yes, you should talk to your man. No, you should not warn him that you need to talk about something yet-to-be-described that will likely be uncomfortable. This phrase is the most
likely to shift him into defensive mode. Try a more loving approach and you will surely get better results.
3. “Size doesn’t matter.” If size doesn’t matter, don’t talk about size.
4. “Is she prettier than me?” Or “Do I look fat in this dress?” If the question you are asking him has only one acceptable answer – and if a too-long pause in responding will only feed your insecurities – just trust that his answer would have been the right one and don’t bother to ask it.
5. “You’re just like my ex.” Or “I have had someone better.” You don’t want to be compared to his exes, so don’t compare him to yours. Even if he comes out on top, it’s still an awkward comparison.
6. “Are you really that silly?” Be careful not to use language that belittles your guy. Treat him with respect, even when you are angry or disappointed.
7. “Never mind. I will do it myself.” Don’t dismiss the offers of help from your man. A common love language is an act of service. Don’t deny him the opportunity to serve you. Sometimes it’s nice to feel needed.
8. “I can’t live without you.” Use desperate language with caution, and stay clear of phrases that sound clingy in early stages of the relationship. Let him take the lead when it comes to commitment and promises of a future together.
9. “I am not your mother.” Or “I am just like my mother.” Keep your moms out of it, unless you are actually talking about patterns learned from your respective families of origin.
10. “Nothing is wrong.” Yes, it is. He can’t read your mind. If something is wrong, tell him what’s wrong.

For Men – 7 Types Of Ladies You Should Not Date!

images (26)
Dear men, you think you can date any thing in skirt, huh? No, you should not. There are some women that you should not mess around. You should keep them at a distance to avoid getting what you did not bargain for…. Lol. Here, they are:
1. Your ex. It is advisable not to return to a past relationship especially if things did not end well. Yes, we remember our ex, especially when we are lonely but going back would only last for a short time, only to regret it.
2. Your wife’s best friend. She could be tempting but the end result could destroy everything you have worked hard to build. Never get too close to your wife’s friend no matter what.
3. Your Neighbor. Just because she is next door does not give you the right to go in and out. At first it could be fun but soon, she would be expecting a relationship and questioning who comes visiting and before you know it, she has moved temporarily into your apartment. Best of luck.
4. Women who have bad reputation. Run for cover. I know dating her can be fun, especially if she gives freely to any man that asks. If you can’t be seen with her outside, why stick with her?
5. The gold digger. Stay away from her, unless you want to empty your entire savings. Not only will she expect you to take care of all her needs, but will also pick faults with you and blame you for spending too much time with your family and friends.
6. Your co-worker. Maintain a high level of professionalism at your work place. Maintain only a work related relationship with your female co-workers and don’t go beyond that. Do not give into temptation by asking her out for a drink after work or you would end up starting what you cannot finish.
7. Your friend’s ex. If you value your friendship with your friend, avoid dating his ex. Word will go around your circle of friends and it will do no good to your reputation. Besides, it could strain your relationship. Also, the lady might be trying to get back at him through you. Avoid being used.

First Aid For Snake-Bites!

Characteristics that are unique to certain poisonous snakes include:

Rattlesnakes rattle by shaking the rings at the end of their tails.
Water moccasins’ mouths have a white, cottony lining.
Coral snakes have red, yellow and black rings along the length of their bodies.
To reduce your risk of snakebite, avoid touching any snake. Instead, back away slowly. Most snakes avoid people if possible and bite only when threatened or surprised.
If a snake bites you;
1. Remain calm.
2. Immobilize the bitten arm or leg, and stay as quiet as possible to keep the poison from spreading through your body.
3. Remove jewelry before you start to swell.
4. Position yourself, if possible, so that the bite is at or below the level of your heart.
5. Cleanse the wound, but don’t flush it with water, and cover it with a clean, dry dressing.
6. Apply a splint to reduce movement of the affected area, but keep it loose enough so as not to restrict blood flow.
7. Don’t use a tourniquet or apply ice.
8. Don’t cut the wound or attempt to remove the venom.
9. Don’t drink caffeine or alcohol.
10. Don’t try to capture the snake, but try to remember its color and shape so you can describe it, which will help in your treatment.
11. Seek immediate medical attention, especially if the area changes color, begins to swell or is painful.

Dietitian’s tip: The type of fiber in whole-wheat pasta is insoluble — during the digestive process it maintains its bulk, holds on to water and, as a result, helps prevent constipation.
Ingredients
1/2 pound extra-lean ground beef
1 small onion, diced, about 1/2 cup
1 box (7 ounces) whole-wheat elbow macaroni
1 jar (15 ounces) reduced-sodium spaghetti sauce
6 tablespoons cheese
Direction

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lightly coat a baking dish with cooking spray.
In a nonstick frying pan, cook ground beef and onion until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain well.
Fill a large pot 3/4 full with water and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (tender), 10 to 12 minutes, or according to the package directions. Drain the pasta thoroughly.
Add the cooked pasta and spaghetti sauce to the meat and onions. Stir to mix evenly. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake until bubbly, about 25 to 35 minutes.
Divide the macaroni among individual plates. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon Parmesan. Serve immediately

4 Beauty Tips To Make You Look Less Tired Instantly--For Ladies

Lack of sleep, allergies, and basic genetics can leave you with dark circles under your eyes, use her makeup tips and learn how to hide the drama.
Step 1
Always put on concealer before foundation. It may be all the coverage you need. No matter what your skin color, choose a creamy concealer with a yellow undertone: It’ll counteract undereye darkness. Apply with a brush for extra precision
Step 2
The skin around your eyes is delicate, so don’t rub it! Instead, blend concealer by pressing it in with your ring finger—it’s the weakest one, so it has the softest, gentlest touch
Step 3
Set your concealer with a dusting of powder that matches your skin tone (bonus if it has a little radiance to brighten the area). Use a light hand with powder. Too much will look cakey.
Step 4
Gorgeous. And remember: If the concealer settles into your lines by midday, just smooth your ring finger over it—the warmth will melt it back into your skin

10 Tips For Starting A New Relationship!!!!

When we have been burned in a relationship, we go into new relationships a little more wary. That’s a two-edged sword. While being street-smart can help you avoid making the same mistake the next time, It can also keep you so hyper alert to possible problems that you don’t give yourself to a relationship. Here are some tips to help you when you’re ready to try again.
10 TIPS FOR FINDING LOVE
1. Settle the past. Work with a therapist to understand how and why you picked your failed marriage.
2. Realize you can make a choice. OK. Something bad happened. You are not a victim. You can and will move on.
3. Learn who’s safe and not safe and how to be safe. Once fooled, twice smart. Learn the early warning signs that someone lacks integrity and construct proper boundaries to keep people like that far from your heart.
4. Get clear about your expectations. What do you want for yourself? What are you moving toward? Know what your values are and be clear about what you’re looking for in a relationship. Then, be bold about not settling for less.
5. Realize there are wonderful people everywhere. Uh huh, you ended up with a world class schmuck AND the world is full of really great people.
6. Learn where to go to meet people who enjoy the same things you do. If you like to dance, take dance lessons. If you like to hike, join a trail club.
7. Hold off on the s*x. Give yourself time to get to know someone before jumping in the sack. Infact, s*x should be after marriage. s*x before marriage affects your sense of reasoning and judgement.
8. Check out their “fit.” How are they around your family and friends? How comfortable are you around theirs?
9. Pay attention to their overall behavior. Is this person an “easy keeper” or is your relationship full of drama? Are there periodic temper tantrums? Regular “flake sessions?” If so, next!
10. Listen to your gut. You have a built-in radar that alerts you when something is up. So, listen to and honor your intuition.

Kidnappers lay siege to Delta varsity; over 20 lecturers kidnapped

THERE has been palpable tension in Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Delta State in the past few months over the wave of abduction of lecturers by suspected kidnappers.
Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Mordi told Vanguard that lecturers were particularly disturbed, as educators are not millionaires, but the gunmen keep attacking them.

In the last two years, he said over 20 members had been abducted, but what has troubled the academic community more in recent times, was the kidnap of a lecturer of Department of Science Education, Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy Mokobia, from her nuptial home in Obiaruku, since April 9 without trace by the Police.

Indeed, during his visit to the university, some months ago, the vice-chancellor, Professor Eric Arubayi, told Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, that the university was under siege.

Mordi said in most of the previous kidnap cases, it was demand for ransom by abductors, after which the victims regained freedom.

However, in Dr. Mokobia's case, they demanded, it was paid, yet, she was not released.

He said: "Lecturers have their hearts in their mouths because we do not know who will be kidnapped next and nobody is comfortable doing his work here.
"As a matter of fact, the academic staff of DELSU are demanding the release of their colleague; we are going to embark on a fresh strike after the current nationwide strike action to protest the failure of the police to secure her release.

"We are not safe here if some gunmen can come to the home of our colleague and kidnap her and for almost five months, the police have no answer to her whereabouts, that is our plight, we are lecturers, we are not politicians, our duty is to teach students and do research, why are kidnappers after us.
"Academics are not money bags but law abiding, knowledgeable citizens who sacrifice day and night, all their comfort to impact knowledge and skills to Nigerian youths so as to equip them to become useful members of the society who can perpetuate human civilization."

How gunmen abducted Mokobia
Gunmen kidnapped Dr. (Mrs.) Mokobia, whose husband, Prof. Mokobia, is also a staff of the university, between 12.00 am and 1.00 am, Tuesday, April 9, in Obiaruku. They broke into their residential apartment.

The couple was reportedly sleeping when the hoodlums struck in a commando style and took away the female lecturer. They contacted the family two days after the incident through a close associate demanding N20 million ransom for her release.

According to Dr. Mordi, "They robbed the family after which they took her along on foot to an unknown destination. Her whereabouts has since remained unknown
"Until her kidnap, there was a lull in the kidnapping of our members and their spouses, which gave lecturers at DELSU a false sense of security."

Suspicion
A security source said: "It is either an insider or somebody that knows the family was involved in the kidnap because they robbed the family and still abducted her."
The source stated: "In fact, an artisan who has worked for the family before is believed to be working with the kidnappers."

"Some 12 hours before the incident, some motor cycle, popularly known as Okada riders were seen near the vicinity of the Mokobias discharging some unidentified passengers," our source added.

Following security report on the activities of kidnappers in the area, who found it easy operating with motorcycles, the state government, after the incident, banned the use of Okada for commercial transportation in Abraka, Kokori and other parts of Ethiope East Local Government.

Police not sleeping on the matter
Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, told Vanguard that he understands the plight of the lecturers and like any other kidnap case; the police were not sleeping on the matter.

He said the police spread their dragnet but the kidnappers initially went underground and the police did not get useful information.

It was gathered that when police got information that the kidnappers had told the husband of the victim to pay ransom, they marked the money and urged him to play along.

His words: "The Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit and tracking team tracked the gang to a house at Uremu Road, Ozoro. The suspected kidnappers upon sighting the squad, opened fire and in the hot exchange of gunfire that ensued, one of the suspects later identified as Vote Michael suffered fatal gunshots, while three female suspects were arrested."
Two persons, including the kingpin of the gang escaped on that day, while police recovered the N1.2 million ransom, a locally made pistol and 50 rounds of cartridges.
Police trailed and arrested the fleeing leader of the gang in Kogi State, as well as a pastor, but none could tell her whereabouts.

At a stage, about 11 persons, including a pastor, were seized in connection with Mokobia's abduction. Nevertheless, nobody would say where she was or what happened to her.
In keeping with the anti-kidnapping law of the state government, the building in which the gang was believed to have detained Dr. Mokobia before she was moved to an unknown location was demolished.

Aduba told Vanguard that the husband of the kidnapped lecturer was around when the police was asking one of the suspects, a pastor, the whereabout of his wife, but he said nothing.

The police chief said his comment that police were not magicians, which was misinterpreted by some persons, was borne out of the fact that the police have done a lot in the matter and was investigating the incident, up till date, yet some persons are accusing security agents of non-performance.

"Yes, we are still investigating the matter; we cannot sweep it under the carpet. Sometime ago, I heard that ASUU people in Abraka were saying something about not understanding our role. I visited the university and took time to explain to them what we have done, including how we traced the ransom to a suspected kidnappers den in Ozoro and arrested some persons."

Not satisfied
ASUU chairman, Dr. Mordi, who urged the gangsters to release the woman and for the Obiaruku community to take more than a passing interest in the matter since Mokobia was living in the community prior to her kidnap, insisted the Police should produce the lecturer, dead or alive.

He said it was not the duty of the union or the family of the victim to tell the police the whereabout of Dr. Mokobia and was, therefore, surprised the Police were saying the lecturers and family were not giving them adequate information.

His words: "We do not know where her abductors took her to, we are citizens and the police are supposed to protect us, how do they expect us to know where the kidnappers took her to, if we know, we would have done everything no matter the cost to bring her out.

"Each time we ask the Commissioner of Police about our colleague, he tells us he is not a magician. The Commissioner came to visit ASUU when we were about to embark on strike some time ago, they made some arrest quite all right, but we still do not know where our member is, for about five months now. His best is not enough.

"He must tell us clearly and unambiguously what has happened to Dr. Mercy Mokobia and where she is. If she is dead, we want to know and her remains must be found, if she had been sold into slavery and taken to another country, we want to know also."

Dr. Mordi said he had the privilege of meeting a top government official in the office of the National Security Adviser, Abuja, and was not impressed with what government was doing to stem kidnapping, saying, "All they are concerned about is Boko Haram."

He accused the police of compromise in the several cases of kidnapping involving lecturers in Abraka, saying, "We even now see ourselves as endangered species, as kidnappers target lecturers, who are non-indigenes of the area.

"Lecturers do not have money, we impact researched knowledge to develop students, kidnappers should leave us alone, police and other security agencies should do their job well by providing security."

He alleged that in the case of Abraka, security agents and vigilance groups were colluding with kidnappers and appealed to government to equip police to fight criminals.
"The other day I went to the office of the Commissioner of Police in the state, I find out that even the Close Circuit Television in his office is not working, I found out that the funding for the police is about N3,000 per police station in the country, this is disturbing.

"Besides, Mrs. Mokobia and several other cases, Dr. Ugochukwu Uzuegbe was also kidnapped in Edo State in May 9, this year, and only regained his freedom after paying ransom," he added.

We need information - Police
Commissioner Aduba said he did not want the kidnap of Dr. Mokobia to turn into a war of words between him and ASUU, Abraka, saying the reality was that the Police were not getting helpful information

Nollywood Actress, Lola Alao's New Husband Arrested For CC Scam In Kuwait

According to E24-7 MAGAZINE'S;

A fortnight ago when star actress, Lola Alao, got married in far- flung Atlanta, United States of America, USA, to Adewale Yakubu Adewale Ajibola, the couple, literally, could not contain their excitement. Lola was positively glowing in her creamy wedding dress while Yakubu sporting a bespoke grey suit, wore a disarming smile.

Though not an opulent wedding, they exchanged marital vows, flaunted the marriage certificate and the pictures that went viral online generated mixed reactions.

There are fears too, solemn fears: Lola's new hubby is plagued with an ugly past - a credit card scam that kept him 'inside' in a Kuwaiti cell. According to an insider, this isn't the first time the 'Nigerian big boy' has been on the wrong side of the law. His claim to relevance and easy bait for unsuspecting women who wanted love and affection, has been his American citizenship’s status and his dashing looks, a reference to what in Yoruba parlance iscalled Faworaja, (meaning a person who lives off his looks). When he was arrested in Kuwait for the credit card scam, Yakubu, was able to answer the police questions adroitly, but the authorities were not convinced of his claim thathe was innocent.

A ring of 'scammers' had some months before his arrival, operated in the same manner and went away with their loot in the Middle East commercial city.

Unsuspectingly, Yakubu walked into a booby trap. While Wale Yakubu Ajibola, the Nigerian-born American citizen served terms for one year, the Big Sam turned the other cheek. Lola, who is hell-bent on getting a husband, was not too lucky last year when her hatched plot to marry another Nigerian based in Europe was thwarted by her first husband, Dare Ogunlana, who unleashed a media attack on her. Meanwhile, Lola found a close ally in another actress, Bukky Wright, also married to a US-based Nigerian, Wale Onitilo.

Lola and Bukky seem to be best friends in real life because their chemistry comes through effortlessly. Since her marriage to US-based lover and car dealer, Dare Ogunlana, broke up, the Kogi-born actress has met a few men but she has not been quite luckyto have one of them put a ring on it. Bukky, we reliably gathered has been concerned and busy setting Lola up on dates with non-famous friends and some buddies of her current hubby. She wanted Lola to have her kind of relationship that will guarantee American citizenship status. When Yakubu walked in, it was a willing and desperate Lola he met and, trust her, she quickly hung on tight. Sources disclosed that while he was cooling his feet in the Kuwaiti authorities' cell, Lola scampered forhis release by consulting marabouts widely. They were constantly in touch on phone and gradually they built the affection.

On release some months ago, after serving terms in Kuwait for one year, she sent him a ticket to come home, made few appearances atfunctions that were private and they bonded before he returned to the United States to prepare for the August wedding. While Lola has taken the highroad by walking down the aisle with Yakubu, brimming with broad smiles that she has found love and a good match, observers of Nollywood marriages and the rateat which it dissolves, feel Lola may have finally found a big catch to perfect her plans for an American citizenship status.

Yakubu, E24-7 MAGAZINE'S checks revealed, has never been married but he has three kids, including a set of twins from two women among his strings of ladies. From his profile, though he claimed to be an ICT expert, he is not quite buoyant financially and his recent incarcerationin Kuwait has not helped. There is no record of an apartment in his name; the newly married couple are guests in one of the hubby's relations' house in Atlanta. Prior to his ill-fated venture in Kuwait, he is said to have been livingoff his relations in California before life threw terrible storms at him and he moved to Houston. In his bid to survive, he crossed to Atlanta where he allegedly joined the credit scam racket popularly known as 'Track 1, Track 2'.

For Lola, it has been a tortuous and lonely journey with her 10-year- old daughter, Omowunmi from her first marriage with Dare. As she stepped out from the depths of despair to happily ever after, it is not clear if Dare will not sue her for bigamy as their marriage consummated in Nigeria has not been officially dissolved. Lola and Yakubu are expected in Nigeria soon .

United States Worries Over ASUU Strike

ASUU-strike

United States worries over the battle between the Federal Government and the public universities’ lecturers over their demand for better working conditions.
US also voiced warnings against the activities of hoodlums who mislead students from Nigeria.
Addressing journalists on Wednesday in Abuja, the US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer, Bill Strassberger, urged the government to resolve the crisis with the Academic Staff Union of Universities, saying “it is a fear, it is a worry for us.”
Nigeria currently has about 7,028 students studying at over 700 institutions in the USA.
He said, “That is something for the Nigerian government. It is up to it to work it out with the striking lecturers.
“We are not involved in that negotiation but we can encourage. It is a fear, it is a worry for us because that would make it hard for the students to come.
“It may be difficult, but there is no magic wand to resolve the strike,” Strassberger added.
Advising Nigerians to shun those who parade themselves as agents, Strassberger said accurate information regarding studying in the US could be obtained from the embassy.
“Those are the touts, those are the people that I will even call criminals because they are stealing opportunities by selling only documents by giving bad information and creating a disappointment when the person comes in with that information or with only document. And that is the result of not getting accurate information,” he said.
Earlier, the Head, EducationUSA, Jennifer Onyukwu, said the ASUU’s strike would affect intending students from Nigeria who wish to study in the US because of the need to obtain their transcripts.
“There is that concern because generally, the world has become a global village, people want stronger applicants in their campuses; so they want stronger senders,” she said.
Onyukwu revealed that from statistics, Nigeria was US’s largest sender of students from sub-saharan Africa to the US.
